September 2011 RIM kembali meluncurkan 2 smartphone dari seri Torch, yaitu BlackBerry Torch 9860 atau Aka Morza yang menggunakan jaringan GSM, dan BlackBerry Torch 9850 atau yang biasa disebut BB Volt yang dipercaya dengan jaringan CDMA. Kedua versi smartphone ini disinyalir upaya dari RIM untuk menghadirkan BlackBerry dengan Touchscreen setelah sebelumnya seri Storm yang kurang sukses.

BlackBerry Torch 9850 memiliki fitur-fitur yang sama seperti BB Torch 9860, Body kedua smartphone ini sama persis, Jika slama ini BlackBerry identik dengan QWERTY keyboardnya, kali ini BlackBerry Volt ini hanya dilengkapi dengan TFT capacitive touchscreen dengan layar 3.7 inches dengan resolusi mencapai 480 x 800 pixels.

BlackBerry Torch 9850 berjalan dengan sistem operasi BlackBerry 7. smartphone ini sudah membenamkan prosesor Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8655 single core 1,2 GHz dengan RAM sebesar 768 MB. ponsel ini memiliki kapasitas penyimpanan internal sebesar 4GB yang bisa diekspansi via microSD sampai 32GB

BlackBerry Torch 9850 dibekali kamera 5 megapixel lengkap dengan lampu flash serta kemampuan rekam video definisi tinggi 720p. sayangnya, tidak terdapat kamera depan untuk video call

Harga BlackBerry Torch 9850 ini dibandrol dengan berkisar Rp 5,3 jutaan.
